London Greek owner Lomar Shipping has named the first four maritime students sponsored by a fund set up in memory of former chief executive Achim Boehme.
Bursaries will be given annually under the Achim Boehme Scholarship for young people studying at the City University of Applied Sciences in Bremen, Germany.
Kelly O'Grady from the US, Gonzalo E Vallejo Moller from Venezuela and Desmond Botchway from Ghana, have all started studying for a BSc in International Ship Management — Nautical Sciences.
