The International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) has appointed Thomas Kazakos as its next secretary general.
Kazakos, who was unanimously elected on Wednesday, is joining from the Cyprus Shipping Chamber where he has been director general since 1995.
The 57-year-old will relocate to London to replace Guy Platten, who is stepping down next June after nearly seven years in charge.
