The relationship between the sea and Greek mythology is explored in an exhibit at the Lettering Arts Centre gallery by the seaside in the UK.
The exhibit focuses on the Nereids. Contrary to the sirens who lured mariners to their deaths, the benign water goddesses nurtured sailors and ships. It is a reason why many vessels are named after them.
