Shipping is navigating a minefield of geopolitical events: the war in Ukraine, tensions in the Middle East, Houthi attacks on shipping in the Red Sea, sanctions, and now a trade war started by US President Donald Trump.
Many of these, at a minimum, threaten to cause a major realignment of global trade patterns, although some pundits have claimed they could collapse the global economy.
