Japanese operator Shikoku Kaihatsu has reportedly signed up for two car ferries at Imabari Shipbuilding.
Clarksons said the two ships are 15,000 gt and will be delivered by the Japanese shipbuilder in August 2018.
No price was given for the deal.
Shikoku already has four ships on the water, built in 1994, 1999, 2005 and 2008.
