Spanish shipbuilder Astilleros Gondan has revealed an order for four fast ferries.
It has already launched one of the 350-passenger ships for domestic owner Balearia, it said.
The 28m-long vessels will be delivered from the end of the year through to the middle of 2018. No price was given.
They will travel at up to 28 knots.
The yard highlighted the "innovative design" of the wave-piercing bow, which displaces water towards the side tunnels in order to maintain speed and reduce wave slamming.
