DSD's Norled has ordered two fast ferries at the GS Marine yard in Norway.
The Skipsreyven website said the vessels will be delivered in 2019.
The vessels are 24 metres long, with an energy efficiency hull designed by the yard and Ingebjorn Asheim and Innovation.
They will use a combination of diesel, electric and batteries.
Top speed is 25 knots.
