Brittany Ferries has put a price tag on an LNG-powered newbuilding that was ordered last December.
The French owner will invest £175m ($223m) on the newbuilding cruise ferry, to be constructed at Germany’s Flensburger yard.
To be named Honfleur, the LNG-fuelled vessel will enter into service in June 2019, while steel cutting will take place in February 2018.
Brittany Ferries said it will be the most environmentally-friendly ship operating in UK waters.
