France's Brittany Ferries has logged its best performance for a decade.

The ro-pax company said passenger numbers were up for a fourth consecutive year, despite the challenges presented by Brexit.

In total, 2,676,500 passengers were carried, a rise of 3%. Turnover was also up 5.2% to EUR 454.9m ($480.43m).

Brittany also reported a 6.7% rise in freight carried, to 204,000 units.
