Greek bulker owner Omicron Ship Management is exiting the handysize segment with the sale of a 17-year old-vessel for a better-than-expected price.
Executives at the Dinos Economou-led company confirmed the sale of the 28,100-dwt Omicron Way (built 2001) to Chinese buyers.
Omicron would not comment on the price, but Athens-based brokers believe the ship has changed hands for $5.1m.
