Vantage Drilling has filed a US lawsuit against Singapore shipowner Pacific Carriers alleging that costly drilling equipment was lost and damaged on a general cargoship.
The lawsuit filed in the US federal court in New Orleans alleges that six joint risers went overboard from Pacific Carriers' 27,700-dwt Pac Antares (built 2003).
The four remaining risers in the shipment suffered "physical loss or damage" during the voyage from Port Klang, Malaysia, to New Orleans, Louisiana.
