Singapore's Ultra Deep Solutions (UDS) is starting design, engineering and building work on a new OSV.
CEO Shel Hutton said the vessel will be its sixth diving support construction vessel (DCSV).
The hybrid design will be 125 metres long and pack 3 MW of power to offset fuel.
"Our build time will stay consistent with 28-30 months," Hutton added.
