Hamburg operator United Heavy Lift (UHL) has taken over the management of a new Chinese-owned DP2 deck carrier vessel.
The 26,000-dwt Zhi Xian Zhi Xing will be operated on behalf of Shanghai-based Zhixian Transportation, it said.
A sister vessel will be completed by the end of 2018.
The ship has unobstructed deck space of 6,020 sq m and is built for the transport of ro-ro cargo, in particular large modules.
