Transocean has delayed the delivery of two ultra-deepwater drillships under construction for a further six to nine months.
It says it has reached an agreement with Sembcorp Marine’s Jurong Shipyard to defer the delivery and related final payments on the two units.
The US-listed drilling giant said the proprietary Jurong Espadon 3T designed rigs are now due for delivered in the first and third quarters of 2020.
