Middle East OSV owner Topaz Energy and Marine has struck a deal with class society ABS to stretch the gap between vessel drydockings.
A new "condition-based survey approach" will allow a maximum of seven and a half years between shipyard stays, instead of the usual five, it said on Tuesday.
The programme will begin with its largest modern platform supply vessel (PSV), the 3,900-dwt Caspian Voyager (built 2014).
