Centrica has exercised an option to keep the Hummingbird Spirit by one year until March 2016, the UK-based energy company confirmed.
The FPSO will stay at the Chestnut oil field in the UK sector of the North Sea where it has operated since 2008.
No terms were revealed for the contract extension.
Hummingbird Spirit is one of three cylindrical FPSOs taken over by Peter Evensen-led Teekay as part of the Canadian shipowner’s rescue of Norwegian firm Sevan Marine in 2011.
