Teekay Offshore Partners has entered into a multiyear chartering agreement with Alpha Petroleum Resources for one of its floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) units.
The Canadian OSV owner will charter the 60,000-dwt Petrojarl Varg (built 1998) for seven years starting 2021 for the full life of the Alpha-owned Cheviot oil field on the UK continental shelf.
The vessel will receive a life extension and upgrade at Sembcorp Marine’s shipyard in Singapore before being sent to the 18-well field, Teekay Offshore said.
