Singapore-based Swire Pacific Offshore (SPO) has quietly sold its only seismic survey vessel for recycling after finding no takers on the charter and second-hand markets for almost five years.
The 4,400-gt Pacific Falcon (built 2007) is currently anchored off the Indian shipbreaking beach at Alang awaiting beaching, TradeWinds has learned.
SPO confirmed the sale, saying that deal was concluded in November, following which preparations were made to mobilise it for the delivery voyage to India.
