Oslo-listed Subsea 7 has dissolved its Malaysian joint venture with Sapura Energy.
The SapuraAcergy combination had operated the 32,100-gt heavy-lift and pipelay vessel Sapura 3000 (built 2008).
This has now been sold to a subsidiary of Sapura Energy.
Subsea 7 expects to receive about $100m in cash dividends from the discontinuation and ship sale, but will still book a loss of $10m in the third quarter from the deal.
