Banks do not seem willing to help owners of offshore support vessels get through the current downturn in markets, according to shipowner Siem Offshore.
The offshore construction vessel outfit said shipowners need to work together to get the "best possible outcome" in today's difficult market, which it said could include consolidation of debt-burdened companies.
"Only by working together can the right scheduling and layup of vessels be achieved.
