Shell has opted not to extend the charter of a shuttle tanker owned by KNOT Offshore Partners.
The oil major is said to have not notified the partnership by the due date of its intention to exercise its option to extend its employment of the 162,300-dwt Windsor Knutsen (built 2007).
The charter will therefore expire in or around October, said KNOT, which is exploring “other options” to re-charter the vessel with what it described as “a number of potential charterers”.
