Norwegian owner Shearwater GeoServices has clinched a multi-project seismic survey deal from Shell.
The contract covers 3D and 4D data acquisition in four separate surveys.
Three of these are in the North Sea and the other off the coast of Western Australia.
The work involves five vessel-months in 2019.
In the North Sea, the 4,200-dwt Polar Empress (built 2015) will execute a 4D survey on the Ormen Lange field of Norway and 3D surveys on the Greeves and Blue Water fields in the UK sector.
