Shearwater GeoServices has been awarded a new offshore survey contract for work in Turkey.
The company will undertake seismic acquisition and depth processing work for exploration firm Turkiye Petrolleri Anonim Ortaklıgı (TPAO), which is backed by the Turkish Wealth Fund.
Shearwater’s 112-metre survey vessel Polar Empress (built 2015) begin work in the second quarter and will cover an area of 2,200 km2, the company said.
