A glimmer of hope is emerging for offshore exploration.
Per Arild Reksnes, executive vice-president of operations at Norwegian seismic specialist PGS, says the company’s oil-company customers have been in saving mode for the past three years and are still very cautious.
But he cited a report by analysts Westwood Global Energy Group that says offshore exploration will “turn the corner” in 2017.
