Indian offshore vessel owner Seamec is trying to recover unpaid charter fees in a legal dispute over a pipeline accident.
It said that an unnamed charterer of one of its ships has withheld INR 173m ($2.56m) until the situation is resolved.
While on charter to a sub-contractor, the ship was allegedly involved in damaging a pipeline.
Seamec has tried to pursue the charterer through legal action in Abu Dhabi, with no result, it said.
