State-owned Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) has confirmed a deal to buy a platform supply ship (PSV) from domestic rival Greatship.
It said it has signed a memorandum of agreement for a second-hand vessel of about 3,000 tons, with DP2 capabilities.
Last week, Greatship’s parent, Great Eastern Shipping, said it had sold the 3,674-dwt Greatship Ragini (built 2013).
It added that the ship will be delivered to its new owner in the second or third quarter of its 2017 financial year.
