In a filing with the Oslo bourse the Danish offshore contractor identified the vessel in question as the 19,000-bhp Loke Viking (built 2010).
The operator, which is based in Copenhagen, indicated that the termination applies to the 2015 drilling season and unexercised options.
While the owner confirmed that it is entitled to a fee because the charter ended prematurely it failed to shed light on the size of the payout.
