Njal Saevik-led Havila Shipping will not be switching tonnage away from the North Sea spot market despite admitting that the recent lull in rates is a cause for concern.
Oslo-listed Havila, which today had the term contract for the 3,691-dwt Havila Princess extended for another year, says it is happy with its current chartering spread.
Arild Remo, chartering and operations manager at the Oslo-listed owner, said: “At last count there is a difference of one vessel compared to last year on the market, so we wonder why the sport market has been so low – it is a concern.
