Brazil’s Posidonia Shipping has secured two new platform supply vessels (PSVs) in a recovering offshore sector that has had no orders for a decade.
Brokers reported that the owner paid an unknown sum for the large unnamed 4,500-dwt ships at the Sao Miguel shipyard in Rio de Janeiro.
The vessels are 60% complete, and Posidonia will invest $70m to bring them into service, according to Norway’s Seabrokers.
