Pacific Drilling has confirmed a charter from Canada’s Hyperdynamics Corp, but has changed the vessel that will be used for the contract.
The Idan Ofer-led driller said the Pacific Scirocco (built 2011) will now undertake the work which comprises one firm well plus options for three further wells.
Pacific Drilling said the drillship will earn a rate of $225,000 per day for the contract which is due to begin in the second quarter of 2017.
