Olympic says the freshly minted fixture with Helix Energy Solutions affiliate Canyon Offshore involves the 12,700-hp Olympic Canyon (built 2006) and is due to commence in May of next year.
In a securities filing the Norwegian shipowner told investors the contract “mirrors the improved subsea market” and will be worth around NOK 500m ($85.8m) in total if the charterer indulges in one 12-month and two six month options.
