Struggling offshore shipbuilder Nam Cheong says it has received a writ of summons and statement of claim from Malaysia’s AmBank.
The writ was filed in the High Court of Malaya on 7 August 2017, the Singapore-listed company said in a regulatory filing.
AmBank is said to be claiming MYR 70.4m ($16.6m) from Nam Cheong subsidiary Nam Cheong Dockyard as borrower and the parent as guarantor.
