Mermaid Maritime has seen a contract in the Middle East to an unnamed oil major extended but is has had to take a cut on the day rate achieved.
The contract extension, worth around $162m, will employ the 5,000-dwt Mermaid Asiana (built 2010) for another three years for for offshore inspection, repair and maintenance services.
