Maersk Drilling has reactivated a modern semi-submersible drilling rig on the back of a short term charter.

The Maersk Deliverer (built 2009), which has been warm stacked in Namibia since April 2016, has been awarded a new contract by JX Nippon.

Maersk Drilling said the contract is set to begin in the fourth quarter of 2017 and has an initial estimated duration of 30 days.
