French shipowner Louis Dreyfus Armateurs (LDA) has made yet another investment in the offshore renewable energy sector, ordering two 27-metre crew transfer vessels (CTVs) at Strategic Marine.

The Singapore-listed shipbuilder revealed on Friday that the pair will be based on its StratCat 27 design, which can transport 24 passengers in “demanding” offshore conditions.

The order brings the number of CTVs in the LDA fleet to seven, including several built by Strategic Marine.
