Heavylift specialist Jumbo has launched a project to supply biofuel to the offshore support sector.
The Dutch operator will begin testing biofuels on an offshore decommissioning project in a joint-venture with marine biofuel company GoodFuels.
The effort involves the delivery of sustainable biofuel to Jumbo’s offshore heavy vessel, the 13,300-dwt Fairplayer (built 2008), to carry out work in the North Sea later this year and in 2020.
