Hornbeck Offshore Services (HOS) said it has found ‘deficiencies’ with orders at two yards.
The Louisiana offshore vessel owner said it expects to launch dispute resolution – typically a reference to mediation or arbitration – against one shipyard unless it can reach an agreement.
“The company has been informed by the other yard that it is experiencing financial difficulties,” said New York-listed HOS as it reported third-quarter earnings.
