Hornbeck Offshore Services is fighting back against a class action lawsuit that accuses the Louisiana offshore vessel owner of violating California wage laws.

A platform supply vessel crew member lodged the case in a court in San Diego accusing the New York-listed company of failing to pay wages and overtime, and failing to maintain accurate wage records, among other allegations.

Lawyer Scott Cooper is seeking class action status to represent what he estimates to be 100 workers that have worked on the ship over the past four years while it was in California waters.
