UK salvage company Britannia's Gold (BGL) is turning to the Pacific in its pursuit of sunken treasure.
BGL has previously used chartered-in offshore support vessels (OSVs) to try to recover bullion and other valuable cargo trapped within war wrecks off the UK and Ireland.
It has now signalled a switch to South-East Asia during the northern hemisphere winter.
Executive chairman Philip Reid said in an update for shareholders: "We had hoped that this report would confirm that the Pacific salvage operation had commenced and we could bring news of real progress.
