Golar LNG has picked up a 31-year-old vessel from Hoegh as it bids for an offshore contract in South Africa.
Gary Smith-led Golar has joined forces with Bluewater Energy Services to take the 125,903-cbm Hoegh Gandria (built 1977).
Golar says the purchase is part of a new joint-venture with Bluewater, formed specifically to chase the PetroSA FSRU opening.
