A veteran floating storage and offloading (FSO) unit has fetched $2.93m in a scrap sale.
The 47,000-dwt Success Total XXXI (built 1992) has been reported offloaded "as is" in Indonesia for $335 per lwt, as demolition prices fall from highs earlier this month.
The former Dimitra and Vanguard has about 2,000 tons of slops and sludge on board which will have to be cleaned by cash buyers prior to beaching.
