Norway’s Shearwater GeoServices is to scrap four older seismic survey ships as part of its fleet renewal.
The first two of these, the 7,500-dwt Polar Marquis and the 5,200-dwt Oceanic Challenger (both built 2000) will be recycled in Turkey in line with European Union regulations and the Hong Kong International Convention for the Safe and Environmentally Sound Recycling of Ships, the Oslo-listed company said.
