The Oslo-listed offshore vessel owner is shifting a North Sea based subsea support ships to the lucrative Brazilian market on a long-term deal.

The 3,500-dwt Far Saga (built 2001) will be upgraded with a new crane before joining Petrobras on a six-year contract in December.

Karl-Johan Bakken-led Farstad says the deal includes ROV support and other subsea related work and could be stretched for up to six more years if options are taken up.
