The Oslo-listed seismic survey outfit will miss out on the$16m paycheck it was supposed to receive from a national oil company in AsiaPacific.

The contract was scheduled to run for 110 days frommid-November but Seabird is now on the lookout for alternative employment forthe 2,900-gt Voyager Explorer (built 2009).

Seabird owns a fleet of eight seismic survey ships.
