China Oilfield Services Co Ltd (COSL) is set to become the first Chinese offshore operator to use LNG power for its new offshore vessels.
Finish technology group Wartsila revealed today that it will be supplying 40 Wartsila 20DF dual-fuelled generating sets to provide power to the propulsion sets that will be fitted on the dozen platform supply vessels that COSL ordered at Wuchang Shipbuilding and Dalian Liaonan Shipyard in December last year.
