The unit of Singapore-listedKeppel Corp will earn SGD 190m ($151m) for the deals with SBM Offshore and Indonesia’sM3nergy Offshore, the company announced today.
Keppel Shipyard willconvert an SBM floating unit hired by oil giant Shell for its Stones development in theGulf of Mexico, which will be the world’s deepest production facility.
The FPSO can process 60,000 barrels of oil per day, 15 millioncubic feet per day of natural gas and store 800,000 barrels of crude oil.
