Chinese producer CNOOC is expanding its offshore fleet with another FPSO newbuilding.
Brokers said the company has awarded a contract for a 100,000-barrel-per-day (bpd) unit to Beihai Shipyard in China.
Delivery is set for 2020. No price has been revealed.
Clarksons provisionally names the FPSO as Liuhua 16-2/20-2.
The group already operates 12 such vessels.
CNOOC also has an anchor-handler and a research ship due from Chinese shipyards this year.
