A Brazilian shipowner backed by some big shipping names has clinched a lucrative drill ship charter with domestic oil giant Petrobras.
Oslo-listed Ventura Offshore said that it has won a $363m term deal for its 74,800-dwt ultra-deepwater drill ship Carolina (built 2011) after a “competitive tender”.
The sum includes $26m of mobilisation payments.
