State-owned China Rescue and Salvage (CRS) has inked a new order for three semi-submersible heavylift ships.
The Ministry of Transport-controlled company has contracted two 12,000-dwt vessels at Cosco (Dalian) for delivery in February, 2020, Clarksons said.
These will be operated by CRS subsidiary Shanghai Salvage.
Another group company, Guangzhou Salvage, has ordered an 80,000-dwt vessel due in February 2022 from China Merchants Heavy Industry (CMHI) in Jiangsu.
