Boskalis and Volker Wessels will each hold a 50% stake in Visser& Smit Marine Contracting (VSMC) which aims to win a share of the growingoffshore wind farm market in the North Sea.
VSMC will control a pair of cable-laying vessels, including the Ndurance,one of two newbuildings set to be delivered by Samsung Heavy Industries by theend of this year.
The other vessel is the Stemat Spirit (built 2010) owned byRotterdam-based Stemat Marine Services.
